soft and tough,

 如果要翻"柔韌",
不知道有沒有更高段的翻法 或是有更貼近的字?
中文還是美多 而且深奧多了.

既柔 且韌, 
真的是人的生命中
一項好難 好難的課題.

which could open a certain door blocked in the past life;

The age,
is definitely the most effective prescription,
curing all disorders hiding in the depth of the mind;

Experiences,
those have been passed,
are perfectly intellectual tutors in one's life,
whether in the daytime or night, they never forget to show constant lights;

And,
last but not least,
years,
are undoubtedly wise guides,
illustrating what have been changed during the peoriod of time.........

Admittedly, destiny is intensively held by individuals,
especially to those who have tough minds as well as strong desires,
this point of view may be true to some extent.
Nevertheless, I would have to say that the fate do play more potent role in one's life. 
The whole life would be altered completely,
even though a brief mail with under a mere 10 words comes.

話說昨睡前將衣服丟進洗衣機,今一早去將衣服取回預備晾,
頓時發現所有的衣服竟然都已經乾了
"wow~夏天的威力真是不可藐視啊!"我心想
同時,我也發現我的風衣上還有一大塊尚未散開的洗衣精
"嗯,那就再洗一次好了,沒有關係....."我ㄧ面自顧自地說著,一邊又把啟動鍵按了下去...
